In public

The wall

Real reports that were published, filed or sworn — and the citations in them that did not survive a check. Each dossier is sourced to published reporting or primary documents, records the URLs actually read, and flags every fact that rests on a single source.

The wall opens when the first dossier is approved.

Rules

  1. No individual is named as the author of a firm's report unless a source read in full names them.
  2. Firm and court statements are quoted verbatim and attributed; no characterisation is added beyond what the sources say.
  3. A figure is attributed to the source that actually states it; a number the trade press attributes to an investigator is labelled as trade-press reporting and kept separate.
  4. Where the subject has given a contrary account of cause, it is carried alongside.
  5. Every dossier links the live receipt of our own run over the document where the document is public; where it has been withdrawn and no archive copy exists, the card says so.
